Introduction

A stablecoin protocol that designed for fairness.

Standard vision is to be the first truly decentralized algorithmic stablecoin protocol, designed with a non-reserve currency architecture and a fully-interoperable ecosystem that is operated through DAO. The protocol is completely owned by individuals collectively, with all powers, from voting to monetary, are delivered to each one's account, governed fairly under the same standard set of rules - the on-chain contract.

Why Standard?

Stablecoins protocol these days, regardless of being over-collateralized, fiat backed, or algorithmic, rely on centralized protocol reserves from the organization with central authority to secure its stability. Such sovereignty, to a privileged group or an organization, is a counterfeit of decentralization

Decentralization remains an overstatement for these protocols since invention of stablecoin.

Standard is hence developed to fix the sovereign models in current stablecoin systems, by providing unit of an account through smart contracts, and only smart contracts, enabling full sovereignty with equal set of rules to every individual.

Sovereignty is a choice, and we choose technology - smart contract and DAO - and decentralize its power to individuals, fairly.

The true form of decentralized stablecoins empower users with the following:

  • 🕹 Have full control over its monetary system: Users need to verify from their generated set of rules without relying on its leaders or operators

  • 💼 Leverage his or her finance into business: Users can build their protocol related to user's account

  • 🧯No custodial risk of collateralization: Users do not put collaterals in protocol reserve. They put them in their accounts.

Our goal is to provide a global unit-of-account with fair and transparent sets of algorithms. They evolve with policies from decentralized governance.

Who created Standard?

Standard was built by Digital Native Foundation, a group of digital natives who are interested in the next digital economy.

Who operates Standard?

No one is in charge without any reserve. Users can only change the given sets or rules of an account with DAO Governance.
